Rincon provides employees with an engaging and stimulating professional environment:

  • Advisory Board. The firm’s Board of Directors receives regular input from an Advisory Board made up of leaders from the company's unique service lines.
  • Green Initiative Program. An employee-staffed Green Initiatives team provides recommendations on "greening" the company's business practice.
Water Containers
  • Biannual Bonus Program. Rincon offers bi-annual discretionary bonuses based upon performance-exceeding goals, as observed by supervisors.
  • Peer Recognition. Rincon's staff have an opportunity to nominate their colleagues for consideration for the annual Outstanding Achievement Awards. Three or four employees are honored with these special awards at the Annual Company Meeting.
  • Holiday Party. Every year Rincon Consultants hosts a holiday party at a resort hotel, with optional overnight stay. The event is located at a scenic venue, which lends itself to a beautiful view of the coastal setting, in which each of the offices are located. It gives employees a chance to meet one another outside of work and to celebrate the holidays together.
  • Office Special Events. Each of Rincon's Advisory Board members is charged with organizing social events for their specific office. In the past, staff have enjoyed camping at Channel Islands National Park and Lopez Lake, kayaking at Morro Bay, picnics at state beaches, and nice sit-down dinners.
  • Rincon Day. Every year, on the anniversary of the first day of business, Rincon Consultants employees gather with their families and friends for an evening of festivities. Past parties have included outdoor barbeques and parties inside each office. Our ten year anniversary was a special event, celebrated by a barbeque with staff, families, and clients at the Santa Barbara Zoo.
  • Vehicle Fleet. Rincon employees travel throughout California for site and field visits related to our various projects. In order to provide employees with more feasible means of transportation, Rincon provides a fleet of vehicles for project use. As part of the company's commitment to green practices, Rincon's fleet has replaced older vehicles with three fuel efficient Prius hybrid vehicles.
  • Corporate Games. Over the past 6 years, Rincon Consultants has participated in the annual City of Ventura Corporate Games Challenge; a competition pairing companies against one another in a series of sporting and spirit events. Rincon employees have finished in the top of a number of events over the years, including surfing, 5&10K Runs, bowling, horseshoes, softball, soccer, and volleyball. Every year employees look forward to competing with their fellow workers and building a bond outside of the office environme

5K Run Team

  • Bike to Work Day. As part of the nation-wide campaign to promote health and environmental awareness, Rincon employees participated in Bike-to-Work Week by designating a day for biking to work. Employees in each office participated in the event; the large turnout of participants encouraged Rincon to begin to hold the event annually. In keeping with this theme, there are a number of employees who bike to work on a daily basis as well as those who commute and take advantage of the public transportation systems near the offices.

I have been at Rincon for nearly five years because I enjoy the daily challenges and constant change of pace; the exposure to new ideas, science, and people; and because of the company's flexibility and adaptability. Dynamic work with a variety of clients, each with its own diverse set of needs, has afforded me both professional and personal growth in an encouraging and supportive environment. Most of all, Rincon has given me the tools necessary to pursue my professional goals through the company.
