Health Risk Assessments provide guidelines as to whether remediation is necessary at a site, and if so, determine the appropriate clean-up goal. Health risk modeling allows for the development of site cleanup standards that will protect against chronic health or environmental impacts, namely, carcinogenic or toxic effects caused by long-term exposure to contaminants.
