Storm Water Compliance Management

Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPP) are a requirement of the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES), which regulates water quality when associated with construction or industrial activities. These regulations have developed over time since the enactment of the Clean Water Act, the primary federal law in the United States governing water pollution since 1977.

New regulations issued by the State Water Resources Control Board (SWRCB) now require that SWPPPs determine site specific erosion risks, are prepared by a Qualified SWPPP Developer (QSD), and monitored by a Qualified SWPPP Practitioner (QSP). Rincon Consultants can assist clients with:

  • Preparation of SWPPPs following the Construction General Permit
  • Preparation of SWPPPs following the General Industrial Permit
  • Design Best Management Practices (BMP) and treatment control BMPs
  • Low Impact Development (LID) - sustainable storm water management
  • Preparation and electronic filing of Permit Registration Documents (PRDs) and SWPPPs
  • Construction crew training
  • Site inspections and monitoring
  • Storm water collection and analysis
  • Risk Assessment determination
  • Bioassessment monitoring

Our certified storm water management team is dedicated to helping you develop and implement a cost-effective plan which meets the new SWPPP guidelines and minimizes your liability from downstream impacts and penalties. Rincon Consultants provides clients with planning, developing, and maintaining construction projects which comply with the July 2010 requirements for reducing construction and industrial related storm water runoff.
