Rincon prepared a GHG study and air quality modeling in support of CEQA environmental documentation for the Cedar and Kettner Property Development Project. The proposed project, involved the redevelopment of the subject property within the Centre City community of the City of San Diego. The two-phased project involved removal of the existing on-site structures and construction of a parking structure, followed by the future development of a mixed-use mid- to high-rise tower. For the Air Quality study, Rincon performed modeling of both construction and operational emissions and provide a technical review of the BRG-prepared analysis. The GHG study modeled maximum daily emissions using the CalEEMod method. To the extent possible, the emissions modeling incorporated specific amenities and design features that were required as part of the project’s permit conditions to achieve a LEED Silver Certification.
