With the implementation of the Methane Mitigation Ordinance set forth by the City of Los Angeles Department of Building and Safety (LADBS) in 2004, all new buildings and paved areas located within a Methane Zone or Methane Buffer Zone are required to comply with the requirements and Methane Standards established by the LADBS. Rincon’s staff have completed numerous methane soil gas sampling programs in compliance with the LADBS’s Methane Mitigation Standards. In addition, Rincon’s staff have designed and overseen the installation of sub-slab methane mitigation systems throughout southern California.
