Rincon Receives Two Industry Business Achievement Awards

March 3, 2020
Rincon has been honored with two awards from the Environmental Business Journal® (EBJ) and the Climate Change Business Journal® (CCBJ) for accomplishments in 2019. EBJ and CCBJ are business research publications which provide high value strategic business intelligence to the environmental and climate change industry.
EBJ recognized Rincon with a Business Achievement Award in the Mid-Size Firms category for another year of paced revenue growth, expanded services, and growth with core clients across 13 offices in California. Gross revenue grew 8 percent, to nearly $40 million, with nearly 100 percent growth over the past five years. Notable achievements for 2019 included expanding in the energy market sector by being awarded $6.6 million in renewable energy projects, being the number one greenhouse gas (GHG) verification body for the California Air Resources Board, and adding strategic hires, including a Los Angeles region manager.
CCBJ recognized Rincon with an Advancing Best Practices: GHG Analysis Award for CAPDash, the Climate Action Plan implementation tool. Rincon developed CAPDash to help jurisdictions meet the requirements for streamlining California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) GHG analyses. CAPDash lets jurisdictions update GHG emission inventories and track implementation of GHG reduction strategies in real-time with an easy-to-use dashboard interface. Customized data visualizations can be created and shared immediately, providing staff and stakeholders instant updates to the implementation status of GHG reduction measures.
This recognition for our business achievement and innovation is due to our talented team, winning culture, relentless pursuit for improving our industry, and our entrepreneurial spirit
The 2019 EBJ and CCBJ awards will be presented at a special ceremony at the Environmental Industry Summit XVIII in San Diego, Calif. on March 19, 2020. The Environmental Industry Summit is an annual three-day executive retreat hosted by EBI, Inc.
