Wendy Worthey joins Rincon with over 28 years of environmental experience in both the public and private sectors. She has specialized in the successful oversight of numerous high-quality, legally defensible CEQA and NEPA documents, implementation of regional habitat conservation plans, and extensive coordination with federal, state, and local regulatory agencies. As part of the Rincon team, Wendy will further bolster the Environmental Planning and Sustainability leadership team in Southern California as a Senior Principal in the San Diego office. She is providing a much-needed increase in CEQA expertise to the region. Wendy, with a background in biology, will also be partnering with our Natural Resources staff and along with other groups in the region to provide support and leadership as we continue to expand our presence in Southern California.  

She has experience with all aspects of multi-faceted projects from constraints analyses and risk assessment through permitting and ultimately mitigation compliance during construction, all with a solid focus on building and maintaining client relationships. Wendy has excelled at managing highly diverse and complex projects, including large utility, renewable energy, water, aviation, transportation, and development projects. As an adjunct professor for 15 years, she has also been passionate about teaching, specifically environmental impact assessment focused on technical and CEQA principles.
