At Rincon Consultants, Inc. (Rincon), we believe in fostering a workplace culture that leads to increased innovation and social awareness. To support this vision in the environmental consulting services industry, Rincon established the Rincon Environment and Climate Heroes (REACH®) Scholarship in 2022.

The REACH® Scholarship was designed to empower the next generation of environmental sciences and planning professionals by offering financial support to students passionate about addressing environmental issues. In addition to financial assistance, scholarship recipients may also be considered for internship and mentorship opportunities at Rincon that provide practical experience and guidance instrumental for success in the environmental sciences and planning services field.

The REACH® Scholarship is currently available to eligible students in Ventura County through the Ventura County Community Foundation (VCCF) and in Sacramento County through the Sacramento Region Community Foundation (SRCF). In our commitment to making a meaningful impact, Rincon plans to expand the REACH® Scholarship to be accessible to students in strategically targeted regions across California. The expansion aims to empower a diverse array of future leaders and serve as a catalyst for positive change.

Following a thorough review of all applications by the VCCF as well as a cohort of Rincon team members, the first recipient of the REACH® Scholarship was awarded and announced in June 2024 by the VCCF.

Students in Ventura or Sacramento Counties who are passionate about environmental sciences and planning are encouraged to visit the foundation websites listed below to learn more about eligibility guidelines and the application process. Additional REACH® Scholarship opportunities will be listed on Rincon’s website as they become available.
